Online Marketing…far out! What a way to earn a living. Exciting…sometimes frustrating…never boring. It's addictive and takes little to get started. A computer, internet connection, time and a little patience are about it. Oh, toss in self-discipline and willingness to work. A little seed money helps too. Now you're good to go.
Put first things first. Write down a detailed business plan. Break it up into blocks and each block into steps. Take each step, one by one, and don't deviate at all. This is so important. Too many people jump from this, to that, to something else. If you don't stay on the path you have no chance of reaching your goal. None! This doesn't mean you can't modify your vehicle. It just means you can't leave the path.
Learn the basics. Learn HTML so you can build a webpage. Learn how to upload files and how to change permissions. Learn how to install scripts and how to use a graphics editor. It's true that you can earn money without knowing any of this. It's my belief that if you don't learn the basics you'll be hurting down the road.
You can make it easy, or you can make it hard on yourself. Who wants to make anything harder than it needs to be? Not I! You shouldn't either, so learn the basics. You'll thank yourself later.
Understand that you MUST sell something to earn money. If you have a problem with selling, get over it quickly. There's no way to earn money online if you don't SELL something. If you believe in the product you're selling, your enthusiasm will shine through. SELL what you believe in and you'll make it much easier on yourself.
There are almost unlimited niches. There are many ways to earn money in these niches. The important thing is to narrow it down. Zero in on one aspect of your topic. Do your research. Find a need and fill it. Provide the solution to a problem. Create a product or promote affiliate products. Always review a product before you promote it so that you know it's a good product at a fair price.
Lastly, stay focused and take positive, constructive action. Make a list each day of things that need to be done. Do them! Don't stop working until they are done. Don't make excuses, just do them. Make work your habit and you'll be surprised how quickly it gets done. Remember….You alone can make it happen. Nobody can do it for you.
